BRITISH SCHOOLS MUSEUM - EDWARD THOMAS' COUNTRY WALK

Location:
Starts:
10am
Ends:
1pm
Edward Thomas (1878-1917) Thomas was a poet who wrote extensively on travel. An obsessive walker from childhood, he loved the solitude and natural beauty of the pathways of southern England, including the Icknield Way. Follow in Edward Thomas' footsteps along the famous Icknield Way. The walk is in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border country, taking in the archaeological and natural landscape. Guest walker, Nic Wilson, is a wildlife expert and we hope to see the rare Pasque flower. It is part of the British Schools Museum's Dreamers, Radicals & Satirists season. The ticket includes £1 off an entry ticket to the museum (T&Cs apply). Children must be accompanied by an adult. The walk is 4 miles across country with some minor road walking. The terrain is fairly easy and we shall meet up at Pegsdon at 10am and anticipate finishing by 1pm. Joining instructions will be sent before the walk. £7 For more information and to book please see the website.
