We are looking for 2 Town Centre Ranger roles
to start on 1st April 2019.
Job title: Town Centre Ranger
Reporting to: Hitchin BID Manager
Location: Hitchin Information office, Hitchin town centre
Contract: To the end of the current Hitchin BID Term,
31 March 2024
(subject to a 3-month probationary period)
Part Time Role
Salary: £18,500 pro rata, plus company pension contributions
Hours/Days: 22.5 hours/3 days per week
Salary: £9.50 per hour
Hours/Days: 8am to 4pm (Saturdays only) with the potential for additional hours when needed
This role has responsibility for the day-to-day and smooth running of the town centre operationally, working with the Hitchin BID team, our partners and businesses. Responding to local business queries, this post has responsibility for a range of priorities and co-ordination, as well as ensuring the town centre is clean, safe and provides a quality experience for visitors, employees and businesses. You will provide full support, assistance and supervision on all day to day operational aspects of the Hitchin promotional initiatives, street activities and town centre events. The postholder will act as an ambassador for the town, delivering excellent customer service skills. We’re looking for a positive, proactive individual who is confident working with a wide range of people and keen to make a practical difference to the town centre.

This is a fixed term contract until 31/03/24 with potential to extend a further five years
