THE HITCHIN CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 2017

Location:
Holy Saviour Church, Radcliffe Road
Starts:
12 noon
Ends:
6pm
2017 is the 21st year with 50 trees, mostly Nordman fir, arranged on top of the nave pews or tables in this attractive, modestly sized Victorian church plus decorated trees outside the porch to catch your eye as you approach.

Saturday morning there is a session for disabled visitors and their carers to enjoy the trees and Festival Cafe without feeling crowded.

At noon there is 10 minutes entertainment: typically a school choir on Saturday and a quick taste of the local seasonal play on Sunday.

Visitors enjoy voting for their favourite tree, and judges award certificates for best decorated trees in various categories.
Live music is provided throughout by the church's choirs and talented local musicians.

Excellent and reasonably priced hot and cold refreshments are available in the hall's 'Festival Cafe'.

6pm Sunday closure is followed by a simple Carol Service during which the voting and judges results are announced.

Admission £4 accompanied children free.
